SPECIFICATIONS
1. SCOPE
1.1 Manufactured by PARKING BOOTH COMPANY, INC. of Sun Valley, California conforming to the following specifications: Pre-assembled structurally engineered units ready to be shipped for installation by others. Units can comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA); State Approval can be acquired when specified.
2. SHOP DRAWINGS:
2.1 Blueline drawings will be provided for customer or architect plan check and final approval.
3. MATERIALS:
3.1 PRODUCT CONSTRUCTION: Building to be welded steel with all intersecting welded connections ground smooth.
3.2 STRUCTURAL FRAMEWORK: Constructed with .14 Gauge Steel square tubing, usually 2" x 2 " inches in ;dimension. All structural members shall meet or exceed ASTM-A500 Grade B 46KSI Standards.
3.3 FLOOR STRUCTURE: When specified Shelter to be mounted on a 2" steel tube base with ¾" plywood sub-flooring and 1/8" aluminum or painted steel diamond tread plate floor covering. Standard Shelters to be mounted on a 1/4" x 2" hot rolled flat bar sill plate (no floor). Four (4) 2" x 2" x 1/4" anchor brackets welded to the exterior base of building as specified. Unit to be installed and sealed on a minimum 2500 psi concrete slab by contractor.
3.4 WALL PANELS: 14 gauge galvanized steel exterior panels fabricated and fitted between vertical and horizontal posts. Overall wall thickness shall be 2.0 inches thick and to be fully insulated with foil faced rigid board to a minimum of R-10 Value ( when specified) and covered with 16 gauge painted steel interior liners to match exterior finish.
3.5 WINDOWS: All exterior window frames to be 14 gauge galvanized steel with concealed exterior fasteners and glazed with ¼" thick clear tempered safety glass.
3.6 GLASS - GLAZING: All glazing shall be ¼" clear tempered safety glass. Options: Tinted tempered, Polycarbonate, Bullet Resistant Level I through Level VIII, Insulated units (Reflective / Bronze / Gray), Graylite #14. All architectural tints and types are available.
3.7 DOORS: Sliding steel door to be heavy duty industrial type glazed with 1/4" clear tempered safety glass located in upper portion of door only. Door latch to be heavy duty keyed mortise hook bolt lock. Aluminum top suspension, four-wheel carrier ball bearing transport and security jamb. Door is to be fully weather stripped to prevent any weather intrusion. Options: Handicap steel swing door, Articulating, Bi-fold, Dutch, Door with transaction window.
3.8 COUNTERS: Heavy-duty 14 gauge stainless steel full width shelf 20" deep (Standard) with a 2" diameter access port for cables. Top of shelf to be located 40" above finished floor. Options: Lockable storage drawer, cash drawer with money tray, custom-locking cabinet with adjustable shelves, stainless steel exterior shelves. (Custom shelving or cabinets are available if required).
3.9 CEILING: Two-tube 40 watt, 120 volt fluorescent light fixtures (Standard) to be recess mounted in a prismatic panel drop ceiling. Light fixtures to be operated by a single pole wall switch. Options: Pre-finished panels or Acoustic Panels,16 gauge painted steel ceiling.
3.10 EXTERIOR ROOF: Standard fascia shall be 8" with a 1"to 6" overhang and fabricated with 14 gauge Galvanized Steel formed sheet metal. Roof deck to be sloped to one 3-1/2" Stainless Steel drain and concealed PVC down spout to be drop located as specified. Exterior waterproof roof deck to be polyurethane sealed and top coated with a white and drop elastomeric membrane seal system. All Shelters are shipped with exterior roofs factory installed.
3.11 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: The unit shall be delivered wired and ready for power interconnections by contractor. All drop electrical components will be UL approved and installed in accordance with the N.E.C. All wiring to be a minimum drop #12 gauge copper THHN. Load center will be 125 amp. Max., 120/240 volt, 3 wire, 8-16 panel, single-phase drop flush mounted in control cabinet located under front counter (Standard). Options: Dimmer switch, Recessed drop Lighting, Control lights, Red and green traffic lights, Soffit lighting, High pressure sodium lights, Halo lighting, and drop back-lit signage are available upon request.
3.12 CLIMATE CONTROL: One (1) 1500 watt, 5120 Btu, 120 volt heater with fan and internal thermostat control, drop mounted in control cabinet under front shelf as specified (Standard). Options: Air conditioning, Exhaust fan, and drop 4000 watt Heater or as specified.
3.13 FINISH: Unit to be primed and sealed with marine base 2-part epoxy primer and painted in accordance with the drop standards established by the Steel Structures Painting council. High solids, 2-part polyurethane finishes coat to drop have fade, impact, and chemical resistance. Choice of one (1) custom color to be selected by customer.
